WDIO: Congressman Nolan Addresses Healthcare Concerns at Forum
Healthcare has been a topic of concern recently. Friday afternoon, Congressman Rick Nolan and other local organizations discussed access for Minnesotans. The roundtable discussion swirled around the Affordable Care Act and it's future. Many local healthcare organizations expressed concerns of cuts to programs like Medicaid. Congressman Nolan also weighed in on concerns. "(Almost) 360 thousand people just in the 8th district alone will be affected potentially in a negative way if we just repeal the Affordable Care Act and don't replace it in a way that preserves and protects the many good things in there," said Nolan to an audience of community members. Panelists also shared their personal expereinces working in the healthcare field. Nolan said Friday's visit was about hearing the needs of the community and working to provide affordable healthcare to everyone.
